Another Tutorial + Lightroom 2.0

Journal Entry: Wed Apr 2, 2008, 3:23 AM

Hey all

Here is another small tutorial for Photoshop. This time it is tackling the issue of colour adjustement in Photoshop.
juhamkinnunen.com/english/arti…

I also herd that Lightroom 2.0 Public beta is available for download.
It doesn't mess up your existing Lightroom installation so it should be safe to try it out. It has some interesting new feature like spot-editing and post-crop vignette.

It is available here labs.adobe.com/technologies/li…

Hi Juha, I tried this method today. Looks easier than playing with saturation. Unfortunately my raw JPG pics are not good to get the different result compared. Nevertheless I'd definitely try it again once I get a 4D. :P

Thanks for sharing this editing tip. I gave it a quick test and it looks to have a lot of potential.

Great tip Juha, I've tried it out on a few shots and it really looks great.
In the past I've always uses an adjustment layer for curves, but never realised how subtley effective lab colour can be....Nice

Did you know that when you use curves to adjust the contrast you have to change the blending mode to luminosity that it will not affect the colour (saturation) :)
