Hello all

I decided to update the look of my journal with the .CSS made by xldstudios. I hope you like it as much as I do. You can find this design here xldstudios.deviantart.com/art/…

New website

I worked last week with the update of my website and now the Finnish version is almost finished and this time the address is also much more simpler.

www.juhamkinnunen.com

I would appreciate it a lot if you could take a look and browse around (even though you might not be able to understand Finnish) to help me find some bugs or flaws. Also all suggestions are welcome ;)

Wedding pictures

At the end of August I had a wedding to photograph. I still had my 300D and I had to squeeze almost everything out of it.
Some images from the wedding can be seen on my new website behind this   link www.juhamkinnunen.com/haagalle…

Equipment wise the 300D is not sadly enough for a wedding because even during the summer the ISOs in the church can get up to 800 and that does bring out too much noise. External flash is of course a must-have.

I was lucky to have an access into the church the day earlier so I could scout the area and plan some shots that I would like to take. I also asked the priest if there are any restrictions for falsh use inside the church, because there sometimes are. I also talked with the wedding couple about the shots that they would like to have. During the wedding they were pretty nervous, I think, and almost stormed out of the church so I must admit that I missed a few shots I would have liked to have.

I strongly suggest to try to capture some candid shots of the guests and the wedding couple in addition to the planned and more traditional ones. Also shooting the decorations and small details provide interesting images.

For the next wedding a 2.8 telezoom lense would be ideal and also a fast lens somewhere around 28-35mm would be great. My 50mm 1.8 II worked good, but at the wedding reception 50mm is a bit too much zoom and if one  doesn't want to accidentally crop out any body parts he has to take quite a few steps back. With a full-frame camera like 5D the situation would be different.

If you have some questions about the pictures or anything else in that matter, just ask ;)
